Dream Cake Recipe

This light and creamy Dream Cake recipe is made with a cake mix and Dream Whip. The whipped topping mix adds volume and velvety texture to a cake made from a cake mix.

1 package (2 layer size) Yellow cake mix
1 envelope Dream Whip whipped topping mix
4 Eggs
1 cup Water

Oven Temp ~ 350°
Baking Time ~ 45 -
Pan Type ~ 10 inch tube pan

Dream Cake Directions

Preheat oven, grease and flour pan.
Place all ingredients in large bowl. Beat with electric mixer on low speed just until moistened. Beat on medium speed for 4 minutes or until well blended.

Pour Dream Cake batter into prepared pan.

Bake Dream Cake until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes; then loosen cake from side of pan with spatula or knife. Gently remove cake from pan, cool completely on wire rack.

When Baking with Butter:

Room temperature butter in the cake batter is one of the biggest cake baking mistakes. In fact, butter must be below 68° to trap air molecules and build structure. Cake flour is milled from soft wheat that has a lower gluten content and higher starch content than all-purpose flour. It helps to ensure a fluffy texture in cakes and pastries. A substitute for cake flour is to use all-purpose flour, but reduce the amount by 2 tablespoons per cup.
