Here's a fresh fruit dessert made with cake mix that you can serve warm, or cold right out of the fridge.
4 cups Rhubarb, chopped
1 pkg. Sugarfree Strawberry Jell-O
3/4 cup Sugar
1 pkg. Yellow Cake mix
3/4 cup Water
Oven Temp ~ 350°
Baking Time ~
Pan Type ~ 9 x 13 inch cake pan
Spread rhubarb pieces into pan.
Sprinkle with package of Strawberry Jell-O (dry powder) as evenly as possible.
Sprinkle sugar over that.
Next layer is the package of cake mix (straight out of the box).
Last pour the water over everything. This should be done as
evenly as possible; dampening as much of the cake mix powder as possible.
Cover Strawberry Rhubarb Cake with foil and bake.
Cake is good warm, good cold, good plain and yummy with Cool Whip on top.
