The toasted marshmallows taste amazing in this cake, sweet and gooey in all the right places. I know it’s not exactly summer yet, and there aren't a lot of campfires happening quite yet, but the taste of toasted marshmallows seem to bring a sense of nostalgia, no matter what the season.
1 pkg. Devil's food cake mix
12 Large Marshmallows
1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup Nuts, chopped
Oven Temp ~ 350°
Baking Time ~ 40 -
Pan Type ~ 13 x 9 inch pan
Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Pour batter into prepared baking pan. Cut marshmallows in half crosswise and arrange in rows over batter in pan. Mix brown sugar and nuts, sprinkle over top. Bake Toasted Marshmallow Cake (careful marshmallows don't become too brown). When marshmallows look toasted brown, cover cake with aluminum foil.
