1 3/4 cups Sifted cake flour
3/4 tsp Baking soda
3/4 tsp Salt
1 cup Sugar
2 Tb Shortening
3 Tb Creamy peanut butter
2 squares Unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 cup Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
Oven Temp ~ 350°
Baking Time ~
Pan Type ~ two 8-inch layer cake pans
Add sifted flour, soda, salt and sugar, sift together 3 times. In a mixing
bowl cream the shortening and peanut butter until well blended, add melted
chocolate and blend well. Add sifted dry ingredients, add milk and vanilla.
Stir until all flour is moist, beat for 1 minute. Turn Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake batter into prepared cake pans. Bake until a wooden pick or cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
