Oven Temp ~ 375°
Baking Time ~ 20 - 30 Min.
Pan Type ~ two 8 inch round pans |
Preheat oven to 375, grease and
flour cake pans. Line bottom of pan with waxed paper.
Combine flour, salt, brown sugar and
shortening with pastry blender. Reserve 1/2 cup of crumbs. Add baking
powder, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg to remaining crumbs and stir. Add
milk and eggs and mix until blended. Pour batter into prepared pans (half in
each). Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top. Bake until toothpicks inserted in
the center comes out clean.
