Our Cola Cake recipe is simply one of the best sheet cake recipes on earth. The magical brew of carbonated cola is the secret to the tender texture.

2 cups Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
2 cups Sugar
1 cup Margarine
1 cup Pepsi or Coke, not diet
2 Eggs, beaten
3 Tb Cocoa
1/2 cup Buttermilk
1 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 cups Miniature marshmallows

1/2 cup Margarine
3 Tb Cocoa
6 Tb Cola
1 lb Powdered sugar
1 cup Nuts

Oven Temp ~ 350°
Baking Time ~ 30 -
Pan Type ~ 9 x 13 inch pan
Preheat oven, spray pan with non-stick vegetable spray.

Combine flour & sugar. Heat margarine, cocoa & cola till it boils. Pour over the flour and sugar. Add buttermilk, eggs, baking powder, 1 tsp vanilla and marshmallows
(they will float on top but will melt).
Beat cola cake batter well, then pour into prepared pan.
Bake cake to perfection.

Cola Cake Frosting:

Combine margarine, cocoa, cola, powder sugar and bring to a boil. Add the nuts, pour over hot cake.

Cake flour is milled from soft wheat that has a lower gluten content and higher starch content than all-purpose flour. It helps to ensure a fluffy texture in cakes and pastries. A substitute for cake flour is to use all-purpose flour, but reduce the amount by 2 tablespoons per cup.
