Kentucky Jam Cake Recipe
This Kentucky cake is very moist and delicious.
You might want to go a little lighter on the caramel frosting.

Caramel Frosting
1 stick
1 1/2 cups
1/3 cup
1 1/2 cups

Sugar
Salad oil
Buttermilk
Blackberry jam
Baking soda
Baking powder
Chopped nuts
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Allspice
Vanilla
Cloves
Salt
Eggs
Butter
Brown sugar
Cream
Confectioner's sugar

Oven Temp ~ 350°
Baking Time ~ 35 - 40 Min.
Recipe Pan Type ~ two 9 inch round pans |
Preheat oven, grease and flour pans.
Mix all kentucky jam ingredients together and
beat. Fill pans with the kentucky cake batter and then bake. Cool cake completely before
adding the icing with caramel frosting.
Jam Cake Frosting
Combine first 3 ingredients. Bring to boil for 2 minutes. Sift
sugar and beat into mixture.
Recipe Note: Kentucky jam cake will be as sweet as can be.
