The German sweet chocolate in this fabulous chocolate frosting, combined with butter, adds the needed sweet to any pound or coffee cake. My choice of cake for this frosting would be the Quick 7-up Cake.
3 1/2 ounces German Sweet Chocolate, chopped
2 or 3 Tb Coffee or water
3 Tb Butter
Oven Temp ~
Recipe Baking Time ~ stove top
Pan Type ~ mixing pan
Melt the chocolate with coffee or water until smooth, remove from heat,
stir in the butter. Pour chocolate frosting on top of any cake or chocolate
cake using a metal spatula (warmed in hot water and dried) to spread.
To Decorate: Use toasted slivered almonds.
