Double fudge frosting holds shape well. It's great when frosting a layer cake and wanting a frosting that you will be able to sculpt. Make peaks and they will stand, frosting won't slide off the sides of your cake.
18 ounces Unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1 1/2 cups Butter
6 large Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
4 cups Powdered sugar
In top of double boiler, set over simmering (not boiling) water, melt chocolate,
stirring until smooth.
Cool for 10 minutes.
While chocolate is cooling beat the butter at medium speed until smooth.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Beat in the chocolate, vanilla and sugar until thick and fluffy.
Spread double fudge frosting on top and sides of any cake.
