This nutty dessert gets a sugary top and caramelized
gooey bottom as it bakes.
Fresh Apples Cake recipe, submitted by Roberta Brown.
1/2 cup Softened Margarine
1 cup Sugar
1 1/2 cups All purpose flour
1 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Salt
2 1/2 cups finely chopped green fresh apples (1 pound)
1/2 cup Chopped walnuts
Oven Temp ~ 350°
Baking Time ~ 45 -
Pan Type ~ 9 inch round pan
In a bowl, cream together the margarine and sugar, beat in 1 egg.
Thoroughly stir together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Stir into creamed mixture. Stir in fresh apples. Put Fresh Apples Cake batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle nuts on top and bake until fresh apple cake is done.
Serve Fresh Apple Cake hot or cold with whip cream or ice cream.
