It started with the baby food, and
today Blueberry Buckle is still my kids favorite food.

Blueberry Buckle Cake Recipe

Granulated sugar
Vegetable shortening
Egg
Milk
All purpose flour
Baking powder
Salt
Blueberries, fresh or frozen and thawed
Granulated sugar
Flour
Ground cinnamon
Butter, softened |

Oven Temp ~ 375°
Baking Time ~ 25 - 30 Min.
Pan Type ~ 8 x 8 baking pan |
Preheat oven, grease one baking pan.
With electric mixer, cream together 3/4
cup sugar, shortening, and egg.
In a separate bowl mix together 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt. Stir
into sugar mixture, alternating with milk. Stir in blueberries. Pour into prepared baking pan.
To make topping:
Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, cinnamon, and butter.
Sprinkle evenly over cake batter.
Bake until tested done when wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
