I made this apple pie cake for my brother-in-law last year. It was wonderfully moist and creamy. Cooked apple slices were placed in between the layers, topped with this cream cheese frosting and sprinkled with pecans.
1/4 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp Baking soda
1 cup Flour
1/2 cup Chopped nuts
2 1/2 cups Diced apples
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Tablespoons Hot water
Oven Temp ~ 350°
Baking Time ~
Pan Type ~ 9 inch Pie pan
Combine all ingredients in order given.
(Apple batter will be thick).
Bake apple pie cake at suggested temperature until toothpick inserted into the center of cake comes out clean.
Serve warm apple pie cake with ice cream.
