ingredients, add the plums and nuts. Bake Aunt Fonnie's Plum Cake at 325 degrees in
a pound or Bundt cake pan until toothpick comes out clean.
Plum Cake Glaze: 1 cup powered sugar. 2 to 4 tablespoons dry sherry. Drizzle on cake while it's still warm.
I received this recipe from my Aunt Fonnie (thus the name) many years ago. I was waiting at her home for my husband to arrive from overseas duty while in the US Marines. Aunt Fonnie made this plum cake for his homecoming.
Plum Cake is so wonderful and best made 2 or 3 days ahead of time; cake becomes very moist during this time. It also makes a wonderful snack cake for company!!! It's my all time favorite cake.
