My German grandmother always baked spice cake made from scratch and it's like nothing else I've ever tasted! The Amish also baked this traditional German spice cake recipe, but here in the United States it's called Amish Friendship Cake. The flavor of this cake is so close to the cinnabon taste, it's amazing.
