1 box White cake mix
2 cups Boiling water
1 package (5 ounces) Jell-o Brand gelatin (red)
1 tub (8 ounces) Cool whip thawed
52 blue berries
2 cups fresh raspberries
Oven Temp ~ 350°
Baking Time ~
Pan Type ~ 9 x 12 cake pan
Bake cake as directed on the package. Cool and remove from pan.
Return cake to clean pan. Pierce cake with a large fork at 1/2-inch intervals.
Stir 1 cup of the boiling water into red gelatin for 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Carefully pour red gelatin over cake layer. Refrigerate for 3 hours.
Dip cake pan in warm water for 10 seconds, then turn over onto serving plate.
Frost top of Patriotic Poke Cake with whipped topping.
Refrigerate for 1 hour or until ready to serve.
Garnish Patriotic Poke Cake with fresh raspberries and blueberries, if desired.
Store leftover cake in refrigerator.
