Angel Lush Cake Recipe

A lusciously delicious combination of pineapple and cream filling, on a pre-made Angel food cake.

1 can (20 ounce) Crushed pineapple in juice
1 package (4 serving size) Jell-o vanilla flavor pudding (fat free)
1 cup Cool whip light
1 (10 ounce) Round angel food cake
10 Strawberries, fresh is best

Oven Temp ~ none
Baking Time ~ Refrigerate
Pan Type ~ medium bowl

Angel Lush Directions

MIX pineapple-with-juice and the dry pudding mix, in medium bowl. Gently stir in whipped topping.
CUT cake horizontally into three layers. Place bottom cake layer cut-side up onto serving plate; top with 1-1/3 cups of the pudding mixture. Cover with middle cake layer and an additional 1 cup of the remaining pudding mixture. Top with remaining cake layer; spread top of dessert with the remaining pudding mixture.
REFRIGERATE Angel Lush Cake at least 1 hour. Top with strawberries just before serving.
Store leftover Angel Lush dessert in refrigerator.

When Baking with Butter:

Cake flour is milled from soft wheat that has a lower gluten content and higher starch content than all-purpose flour. It helps to ensure a fluffy texture in cakes and pastries. A substitute for cake flour is to use all-purpose flour, but reduce the amount by 2 tablespoons per cup.
