California Walnut Cake Recipe

From dinner to dessert, healthy ways to put more walnuts in your diet. A rich, flavorful syrup infuses this California-inspired walnut pound cake with the bright aroma of bananas.

1 cup Unsalted butter
4 Eggs
2 cups White sugar
1 pinch Salt
2 cups Cake flour
1 cup Self-rising flour
4 cups Chopped walnuts

Oven Temp ~ 325°
Baking Time ~
Pan Type ~ 10 inch tube pan
Preheat oven, grease tube pan with butter.

In a medium bowl, mix cake flour, self rising flour, salt and nuts. Set aside.
Cream together the butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until creamy. Add flour mixture and beat until smooth.
Pour walnut cake batter into prepared pan.
Bake California walnut cake.
Allow to cool before removing from pan.

Before serving, highlight your walnut pound cake by drizzling our Banana Syrup over the top.
